Be alert to drops and other impacts that affect calibration.

When tolerances are tight and there’s no room for error, knowing whether your instruments or tools are still properly calibrated is vital.  The ShockWatch Flex impact indicator alerts users to shocks that can throw delicate instruments or electronics out of calibration or result in equipment malfunctions.

Designed to stay in place even on curved or irregular surfaces, the Flex impact indicator can monitor for impacts from routine use, including drops or mishandling. The ShockWatch Flex is a highly-visible impact indicator. If a drop exceeds the equipment manufacturer’s operational thresholds, it’s immediately evident.

The ShockWatch Flex is available in seven sensitivities to detect impacts from 10Gs at 2-4 inches to up to 100 Gs at 24 to 30 inches. Higher G solutions also are available. ShockWatch Flex comes in your choice of single- and double-tube configurations. The single tube detects impacts from nearly 360 degrees. The double tube offers full 360 degree detection, indicating impacts from any angle.

“In many industries, precision is absolutely critical.  For these customers, knowing that their tools are accurate and haven’t experienced an impact that could affect calibration is significant,” stated Gerard Smith, ShockWatch CEO. “The ShockWatch Flex will indicate when tools have been mishandled and should be returned for calibration.  It can also monitor for potentially damaging impacts to any product.  The Flex provides a method for ensuring accountability for product handling which leads to less damage, thereby resulting in increased profits.”

The ShockWatch Flex is an integral part of robust damage detection programs. For more information about how ShockWatch can help detect damage and save money, contact us.
