ShockWatch 2 QR FAQs

What is ShockWatch 2 QR?

ShockWatch 2 QR is a single-use, battery-free shock indicator with a built-in QR code that provides digital shipment data—including shock status, location, timestamp, and photo capture—when scanned.

How does the QR code work?

Scanning the QR code with any smartphone camera opens a cloud-based record showing whether an impact occurred, where the scan happened, and a time-stamped event log.

Do I need an app to use it?

No. ShockWatch 2 QR does not requires an app to read and use all of its features — just scan the QR code and follow the on-screen prompts.

What type of products is ShockWatch 2 QR designed for?

It is ideal for impact-sensitive shipments such as data center servers, appliances, medical imaging systems, diagnostic instruments, aerospace components, industrial equipment, and high-value devices.

How does ShockWatch 2 QR help reduce damage?

The bright indicator and companion labels deter mishandling, while the QR scan provides proof of handling and visibility, helping companies reduce shock-related damage by up to 60%. The insight form the data collected in the SpotSee Cloud also helps identify where and when damage occurred, giving our customers the ability to pinpoint and solve supply chain and transport/handling issues.

What happens if the indicator turns red?

A red indicator signifies that the shipment experienced a potentially damaging impact, prompting inspection before installation or use. When the device is scanned, a record of the status is loaded to the SpotSee Cloud, tracking location, sensor status, date/time stamp as well as an image of the scanned device.

Does the QR code store data locally?

No. All data is stored in the SpotSee Cloud, ensuring secure, remote access to shipment records from anywhere.

Can multiple people scan the same device?

Yes. Every authorized stakeholder can scan have access to the customer’s account and is able to view the event history, helping maintain transparency across the supply chain. Reports can also be shared with external parties.
