Detects and permanently records any temperature excursion above 10°C. Changes from blue to a non-blue color when the blood unit is exposed to temperatures above the safe range. Once activated, this color change is permanent, even if the unit is re-cooled, giving an undeniable record of what happened.

HemoTemp II’s color response is core-correlated, governed by the same physical variables that affect blood integrity: temperature, time at that temperature, unit mass, and the container’s heat transfer characteristics. How to use HemoTemp II
